It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lowell David Blakeney (Lenoir City, Tennessee), who passed away on July 3, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rowe and Ruth Blakeney (Grantham). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Blakeney (Griffin); his grandchildren, Jonathan Harding (Emmy), Sarah Harding, Rachel (Cates), Grace (David), Joshua Cates, Caleb Blakeney and Leah Blakeney; and his siblings, James Blakeney, Helen Mosely and Walter Blakeney. He is also survived by his wife and children.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made either to Our Place, a memory care facility in Farragut, Tennessee (103 Cheeyo Way, Loudon, TN 37774 or ourplacetn.org—in memory of David Blakeney) or Kids Hope, a tutoring ministry of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City, Tennessee (2085 Simpson Road East, Lenoir City, TN 37772).
