He is survived by: his wife Donna Lyons-Kennedy Cummings; his daughter Miranda Kay Cummings; his stepchildren, April Kennedy Trammell and Alex Kennedy (Jessica); his grandchildren, Jordan Trammell McWhorter (Cody), Madison "Maddie" Trammell, Oliver and Charlie Kennedy; his great grandchild Emberlynn McWhorter; his siblings, Deborah "Debby" Brownlee (Mackey), Thomas "Tommy" Cummings, Robert "Bobby" Garrard (Jennifer) and Kari Johnson (Alex); and his pets, Dozer and Buddy.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Lowell's name.
