He was predeceased by: his parents, Iva Nell Scott and Calvin Dawes Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Benefield Griffin; his sister Brenda Griffin Pendergrass; his sons, Richard Scott Griffin, Brent Lane Griffin (Candy Wright Griffin) and Adam Clay Griffin (Anna Scofield); and his grandchildren, Bo Zeke Griffin and Samuel Knox Griffin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lenoir City Church of Christ (1280 Simpson Rd W, Lenoir City, TN 37771). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Lenoir Church of Christ for Spiritual Sword Missions – India Work.
