He was predeceased by : his parents, J. D. Hensley and Evalee Gentry Hensley; and his siblings, Dewey, Luther (Pauline Hensley), Clyde Hensley and Rosa Lee Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Deyton Hensley; his children, Melissa J. Hensley and Charles Allen Hensley; his grandsons, Matthew and Justin Hensley; and his siblings-in-law, Willie Hensley, Bonnie Hensley, Marie Arrowood, Mable Dean, Jo Ann Cooper, Jerry and Kathy Deyton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
