She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles J. Hickman and Nellie Hickman; her husband Kenneth Clinton Carswell; her siblings, Gladys M. Poe, Mary Lavada Vanoer, Alvin Hickman, Robert L. Hickman, Glenn D. Hickman and Roy Dossie Hickman; and her niece Linda Owens.
She is survived by: her brothers, Harley R. Hickman and Emmitt Dale Hickman; and her siblings' children, Glenda Lieker, Beverly Hickman, Janet Middlebrooks, Sharon, Nancy Elphingstone, Sylvia Parsley, Maggie, Steven Vanoer, David Hickman, Randy Hickman and Tommy Lee Hickman. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home Coulter Chapel (601 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, TN 37415). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
