She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Issac Proffitt and Clara Louiza Inman. She is survived by: her husband Omer O. Dyer, Jr.; her stepdaughter Kimberly Ann; her siblings, Robert Jay Proffitt (Norma), Edward Pink Proffitt (Ruth), Maude Ellen and Mary Magaline; her son-in-law Jeffrey Hurley August; her children, Steven Owen Dyer and Lisa Dyer August; her grandson James Dyer August (Hannah); and her sister-in-law Janet Dyer.
While the family will be accepting flowers, donations may also be made to Beech Grove Baptist Church designated for Builders On Mission or Willing Hands Quilting Ministry in Betty's memory.
