He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Nicely; his daughter Tammie Ray; his parents, Mitchell Nicley and Lenore Nicley; and his siblings, Eugene Nicley and Margie Nicley.

He is survived by: his daughter Debbie Dyer (Jim); his grandchildren, Samantha Bell (Kenny), Junior Ray (Emily), Heather Beeler (Marty), Travis Anderson, Jess Woods (Bradley) and Drew Dyer; and his siblings, Lorena Housewright, Patsy Bowman (John) and Darrell Nicley (Janice). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
