He is survived by : his wife Joan; his children, Tammy Atkins (Irwin Crosby) of Knoxville, Robin Atkins (Mike) of Corryton and Gordon Rutherford (Diane) of Luttrell; his grandchildren, Tiffany Atkins, Chad Rutherford (Brittany) and Cortney Parton (Greg); his great grandchildren, Charlee, Bentley and Wayde; his siblings, Hillard Rutherford (Alma) and Sharon Drinnen (Butch); his siblings-in-law, Margaret Rutherford and Jerry Akin (Brenda); and his friends, Speedy, Geneva Walker and Elaine Sandefur. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
