He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Blankenship Swaney; his parents, Ola Swaney and Louise Swaney; his parents-in-law, Ralph and Arizona Blankenship; his siblings, Coy Swaney, Lillie Everett and Barbara Ann Jennings; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Irwin, Dwight Blankenship and Billy Blankenship.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Ortiz (Bill) of Madisonville, Greg Swaney (Crissy) of Madisonville and Jason Swaney (Teresa) of Madisonville; his grandchildren, Casey Moser, Amy Escamilla (Michael), Jennifer Corman (Jordan), Tommy Reagan (Briana), Treena Reagan and Andrew Swaney (Starla); his brother Allen Swaney; and his brother-in-law John Irwin (Gayle). He is also survived by 8 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Journey of Faith Fellowship (495 Warren St, Madisonville, TN 37354). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Of Christ Cemetery.
