She was predeceased by: her parents, William Paul Brakebill, Sr. and Lucretia Harvey Brakebill; and her husband Wendell Nixon. She is survived by: her daughter Merian; her son-in-law Rick Brewster; her son Tim; her daughter-in-law Nancy Nixon; her grandchildren, Charley, Ellary Brewster, Molly, Alex Crush, Campble Nixon, Conner and Austin Robertson; her great grandchildren, Jovie Lynn Brewster, Jaylie Laine Brewster, Jackson Lee Crush, Linnie Jane Crush and Jaycie Nixon; her brother Dr. Paul Brakebill (Jane Brakebill); and her sibling's children, Bill, Ruth Brakebill, Melanie Brakebill Pioth, Merritt, Beth Brakebill, Marshall and Megan Brakebill. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church (503 College St, Loudon, TN 37774). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
