It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Elmer Gesell of Manchester, Tennessee, who passed away on October 15, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gesell and Carrie Gesell; his parents-in-law, Chester and Lydia Wiedeman; and his sister Doris Christensen.
He is survived by: his wife Mitzi; his children, Gary A. Gesell (Chip) of Manchester, Jon S. Gesell of Manchester, Mark Gesell (Cathy) of Manchester and Linda Adams of Manchester; his siblings, Rudolph John Gesell and Phyllis Jean Utterback (Phil); his grandchildren, Jennifer Gesell (Michael Caruso), Lori Henley (Stephen), Julie Gesell, Sara Adams, Greggory Palmier (Amber) and Kevin Palmier (Jodi); his great grandchildren, Matthew Palmier (Cynthia), Jessica Fitzgerald (Ben), Kayla Palmier, Dylan Palmier and Jackson Henley; and his great great grandchild Marilyn Palmier.
In lieu of flowers, he asked that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hillsboro, Tennessee or The Saint John's Church UCC Penntown Cemetery Fund in Penntown, Indiana.
