He is survived by: his wife Margaret Smith; his children, Sharon Maloan (Mike) of Martin, TN, Keith Forsythe (Melissa) of Port Neches, TX and Jim Forsythe (Jennifer) of Martin, TN; his grandchildren, Jenna Scott (Zac), Morgan Vernon (Drew), Dustin Forsythe (Sarah), Brittany Fortner (Josh), Brandon Forsythe (Jodie) and Jacey Lewis (Adam); his great grandchildren, Lilly-Brooke Scott, Cooper Scott, Wade Vernon, Ella Vernon, Sarah Jo Forsythe, Hunter Forsythe, McKinley Fortner, Allie Fortner, Piper Fortner, Mack Lewis and Adler Forsythe; and his siblings, Gene Forsythe of Jackson, TN and Lana Lewis of Brownsville, TN..

A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
