He was predeceased by: his fathers, Thomas Odell James and Billy June McNelly Johnson; his daughter Angelia Gale James; and his stepfather Hubert Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Tina Gale Golightly James; his children, Billy Joe James of Clinton, KY, Kristy Ann Baker (James) of Martin, TN and Bridget Jean James of Grand Prairie, TX; and his siblings, Patsy Raines, Carol Nickens of Evansville, IN, Wanda Lynch of Sacramento, KY, Brenda James, Betty Hunter of South Fulton, TN, David Johnson of Sadieville, KY and Steve Johnson of Wingo, KY.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
