With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecelia Wallace (Rockford, Tennessee), who passed away on August 9, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Mildred Pauline Gillispie and Winston Alexander Wallace; and her granddaughter Amanda Nicole McNear Gonzales. She is survived by : her siblings, Winfred Anetta Wallace Henderson, Leonard Eugene Wallace, Viola Elizabeth Wallaceand, Walter Suddreth of Alcoa and Mildred Long of Alcoa; her children, Rick McNear of Alcoa, Doris Y. McNear of Knoxville and Melanie Brown of Rockford; her grandchildren, Rev. Sam Brown of Knoxville, Clarissa McNear of Knoxville and Ayawna McNear of Maryville; and her aunt Rose Gillespie of Rockford. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relativesand friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to Mt. Pleasant A.M.E. Zion Church 140th Anniversary Celebration in memory of Cecelia Wallace.
