With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julia Kennedy McLaurin (Maryville, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kennedy and Pauline Kennedy (Barbour). She is survived by: her significant other Jesse Ronald McLaurin; her brothers, Ron Kennedy (Reba) of Knoxville and Don Kennedy (Edith) of Maryville, Tennessee.; her brother-in-law Mike McLaurin; her nephews, Connor Cannon and Michael Kennedy (Jenn); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Keira, Landon and Lola; her nephew David Kennedy (Ani); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler and Samia; her niece Raquel Roy (Will); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Carson, Paxton, Jada and Dani; her niece Melody Harrah (Sante); her niece Cherie Combs Mercer (Rob); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Cole and Mallory; her niece Amy Combs Powell (Shannon); her great-niece Hailey; and also Camden.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Smith Life and Legacy (1402 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the following organizations: The University of Tennessee Cancer Institute, in the name of Judy McLaurin.
