We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2025, at the age of 90, Shirley Dean Reaves Hasty of Maryville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Reaves and Mary Reaves (Faison); her husband Edward Troy Hasty; and her son-in-law Vernon Reese, Jr.. She is survived by: her siblings, Phillip Reaves, Viola Daugherty, Doris Taylor, Betsy Koruc and Rose Frank; her children, Mark Hasty (Gaye), Dawn Reese (Gary Lunsford) and Lance Hasty (Chelon); and her grandchildren, Mark Hasty, Jr. (Ashlee), Marissa Hasty Lambert Tricia (Allen), Courtney Carrington (Teddy), Dryden and Padgett "Aaron" Hasty. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Troy and Shirley Hasty Scholarship Fund at Johnson University, 7900 Johnson Drive, Knoxville, TN. 37998, which she always loved and supported.
