She was predeceased by : her husband Curtis Black; her parents, Jacob Ralph and Lena McMillan Slagle; her granddaughter Shyanna Rose Black; and her sisters, Rosa Webster and Hazel Shirley.

She is survived by : her son Curtis Jacob Black; her granddaughters, Kaylee Black, Hali Bunch and Heather Mingie; her sisters, Laura Belle Payne, Jean Cate (Glen) and Faye Kiser (James Jr.); and her nephews, George and Tim Webster.
