She was predeceased by : her husband Adron Messer; her children, Hope and Shane; her parents, J. D. Crider and Ethel Crider; her siblings, Drew Crider and Ezella Crider; and her parents-in-law, Lonnie and Ruth Messer.

She is survived by : her daughter Britany Messer (Peter Tillman); her siblings, John Crider, Harvey Crider (Linda), Jean, Glenda, Juanita, Mary and Claudena Crider; and her sisters-in-law, Cathy Messer and Caroline Stanifer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
