He was predeceased by: his parents, Isom Floyd and Elizabeth Hicks Floyd; his siblings, Lucille Dixon and Allen Floyd; and his grandchild Lucas Dylan Floyd.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Joann Watson Floyd of McDonald; his children, Joshua Allen Floyd (Rachel) of Cleveland, Jason Floyd (Diana) of Chattanooga, Olivia Floyd, Samuel McGhee (Brandie) of Dayton, TN and Christopher McGhee (Laura) of McDonald; his grandchildren, Nathan Floyd, Nicholas Floyd, Dawson Floyd, Hunter Floyd, Khristian Floyd, Callie Ann Floyd, Sara Martin, Miranda Martin, Mikel McGhee, Jazalina McGhee, Dalton McGhee, Evoney McGhee and Braden McGhee; his sisters, Ethelene Graham, Edna Shields and Naomi Prince; and his niece Robbin Swindle. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
