He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Merritt and Alice Marguerite Merritt (Flinn). He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Merritt (Rafferty); and his children, Cheryl Becker (Doug) of Anchorage, AK, Patti Long (Butch) of Jellico, TN, Barbara Keizer (Garth) of Collegedale, TN and William Clarence Merritt III of Cleveland, TN. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
