He was predeceased by: his parents, Dexter Riley and Gertha Barker Climer. He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Akers Climer; his daughters, Rita Climer Davis (Charles) of Blowing Rock, NC and Judy Climer Stallings of Jefferson, NC; and his siblings, Joe Climer of Reagan, Martha Bell Climer, Elizabeth Mooney and Velma Dean.
