He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lewis and Ethel Elizabeth Mitchum (Pate); his wife Janie Carolyn Mitchum (Dunavant); his sister Peggy Bacigalupo (Mitchum); and his great grandchild Lila Ruth Griffin.
He is survived by: his friend March; his daughter-in-law Sherry Nelson Mitchum of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Julie Bradfield, Lisa Griffin (Ryan), Jana Stafford (Bubba), Blake Goforth (Amber), Mark Goforth (Christy), Brooks Mitchum, Luke Mitchum and Witt Mitchum; his great grandchildren, Brayden Cooley, Lute McCaslin, Presley Goforth, Seth Stafford, Georgia Kate Goforth, George Goforth, Isaac Griffin, Grady Goforth and Briley Stafford; and his sibling's children, Carol Clough and Marty Bacigalupo. He is also survived by his three children.
