It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Lou Burton of McMinnville, Tennessee, born in Smithville, Tennessee, who passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Everett Ashburn and Odella Goolsby Ashburn (Jack Royce Burton); and her siblings, Olla Marie Ashburn, Frances Ruth Ashburn and Bobby Donald Ashburn.

She is survived by : her sons, James Burton, Donald Burton (Colleen), Michael Burton (Melissa) and Chris Burton (Robin); her sisters, Dorothy Lee Herrin and Eva Lois Smith; her grandchildren, Andrea Burton, Erica Burton, Joshua Burton, Jonathan Burton, Cassie Grove (Tyler), Austin Burton (Skyler), Bailey Burton, Avery Kate Burton and Ansley Burton; and her great grandchildren, Ian Burton, Jasper Burton, Alla Burton, Marley Burton, Alyssa Burton and Kresta Burton.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the McMinnville Funeral Home (117 Underwood Rd, McMinnville, TN 37110).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rockliff Cemetery Fund.
