She was predeceased by : her parents, Oliver B. Cowan and Erma Christine Courtney Cowan (John Douglas Pennington); and her brother Billy Joe Cowan. She is survived by : her daughters, Regenia Rovsek (John) and Katrina Pennington Thompson; and her granddaughters, Hannah Grace Rovsek and Abigail Pennington Thompson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Newtown The Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
