She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Bedford and Nettie Florence Lance Carrick; her spouse Jesse N. Fitts; her son Billy Ray Fitts; her siblings, Loretta Carrick Tittsworth, Estelle Carrick Fitts, Cecil Randal and J. C. Carrick; and her son-in-law Robert "Bob" Woodard.
She is survived by: her children, Jesse R. Fitts (Brenda), Robert Fitts (Betty) of McMinnville and Carol Woodard of Carthage, TN; her grandchildren, Ricky Fitts (Donna), Mike Fitts (Amy), Jerry Fitts, Misty Martin, Jessica Dee Higgins (Casey), Susan Marvin (Eric), Robert Woodard (Katie), Shannon Fitts (Eula) and Megane O'Shea (Ron); and her stepgranddaughter Leslie Crabtree (Rex). She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the High's Chapel (101 College St, McMinnville, TN 37110). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Unity Cemetery Fund or Alzheimer's of Tennessee.
