He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Ned and Vassie Jay Eason Jones; his wife Virginia Louise Bartholomew Jones; and his siblings, Henry N. Jones, Albert J. Jones, Sara Peddy, Lucille Ray, Louise Pepple and Joyce Pruitt.
He is survived by: his children, Matt Jones (Carrie) of Millington, Mitzi Phillips of Crestview, FL and Virginia Thornton (Richard) of Atoka, TN; his granddaughters, Andrea Vida (Ryan) and Jessica L. Yarbrough (Josh); his great grandchildren, Alexis C. Kanizar, Benjamin Vida and Christopher Vida; and his sister Doris Brannon of Hacienda Heights, CA..
