With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvie Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on August 14, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard L. Jones and Jennie Powell Jones; his wife Dorothy McCowan; and his sisters, Mavis Ketchum of Falkner, MS and Edith Ferguson.
He is survived by: his son Larry Wayne Jones (Janice) of Southaven, MS; his sister Lena Goolsby of Ripley, MS; his nephew Terrell Ketchum (Susan) of Memphis, TN; and also Jennifer Pounds. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
