He was predeceased by: his former wife Lydia Jim Kimbrough Simmons; his son Andrew Mason Simmons Jr.; his parents, Rev. Andrew M. and Emma Massingill Simmons; and his siblings, Cora, Sadie, Vadie, Ora, Alberta, Janie, Batie, Banister, Broadus, Buford and Waldo.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Jim "Jamie" Kimbrough; his son Kimbrough Graham Simmons (Beth); his grandsons, Andrew Simmons (Alejandra) and Graham Simmons; his niece Joyce Bruno; and also Andy.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests memorial contributions to be made in memory of Mr. Simmons to the First Baptist Church of Memphis, 200 E. Pkwy N, Memphis, TN, 38112.
