It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Mae Johnson Read (Memphis, Tennessee), who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Guy M. Read, Jr.; her children, Guy "Monte" Read, III, Debbie Orians of Marietta, Georgia and Susan Fuller of Collierville, Tennessee; and her sister Mary Lou Walpole of Memphis, Tennessee..
She is survived by: her daughters, Brenda Southerland (Scott) of Decatur, Cathy Cherry (Kent) of Halls and Karen Venditti (Nick) of Castle Rock, Colorado; her siblings, Chuck Johnson (JoAnn) of Memphis, Hugh Johnson (Suzanne) of Memphis, Tennessee and Dale Edwards (Doug) of Southaven, Mississippi; and her sons-in-law, Tom Orians and David Fuller. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be sent to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or the charity of the donor's choice.
