Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved David Allen (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 82, on October 19, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel McGhee Allen and Thomas Lee Allen; and his sister Carolyn Franklin. He is survived by: his girlfriend Shay Dwyer of Louisburg; his children, David Darnell Allen of Henderson, Marilyn Allen Thaxton of Franklinton and Theresa Allen Woodlief of Wake Forest; and his brother W. T. "Bootie" Allen of Henderson. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
