He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Swims and Carlotta Morgan Swims; his sister Clara; and his granddaughter Shelby Wyatt. He is survived by: his wife Harriet Coda Swims; his children, Dewey Swims (Stephanie), Christy Wyatt (Harvey) and Karen Nesbitt (Otis); his grandchildren, Brantley Wyatt (Julie), Kellye "Betsy" Wyatt, Dewey Nelson Swims, IV (Summer), Houston Todd (Drew), Jamal, Joseph and Jana Nesbitt; and his great grandchildren, Gracie, Brayden Wyatt, Treyson and Iris Todd.
