It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Carter Sanford Jr. (Memphis, Tennessee), born in Covington, Tennessee, who passed away on May 13, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son-in-law Dr. Paul Tackett; his parents, Jessie Alma and Jack Carter Sanford Sr.; his former wife Fay Tullos Sanford; his daughters, Annie Kate Sanford Worley (Justin), Shelley Sanford Owens (Thomas) and Jessica Sanford Tackett (Paul); his grandchildren, Parr, Eloise, Walt Worley, Chambers, Mac Tackett, Tullos and Boone Owens; his wife Barbara Huggins Sanford; his brother Robert Sanford (Jan); and his nephew Rob Sanford (Daphne).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to American Cancer Society, St. Jude Hospital or Church Health Center.
