It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Hilliard (Memphis, Tennessee), who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Smith Sr. and Mary Smith; and her siblings, A. D. Middlebrook, Earnestine Boyce, Claude Smith Jr., Iola Ford and Barbara Dodson.
She is survived by: her husband Hilliard Sr.; her daughter Janice Sims; her stepchildren, Beverly Townes (James), Melnett Shockley (Gordon), Alicia Bean (Johnny), James Guffin (Debora), R. L. Hilliard Jr. (Sarah), Rockie Hilliard (Tarsha), Tony Hilliard, Jeremiah Hilliard, Joel Hilliard and Terrence Thomas Sr.; her sister Betty Eddings (Jessie); her grandchildren, Timothy Smith Jr. (Temelia), Leonard Smith Sr. and Shenika Sims; her great grandchildren, Latyia, Leonard Jr. Chaddarius, Temia, Tamyia, Autumn, Nia, Joshua, Christian, Malia, Joseph, Mikkel, Tristian, Makayla and Eliza; and her great great grandchild Aubrey. She is also survived by step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
