He is survived by: his wife Mary Deanna Sheely; his children, Timothy Christopher Hanson, Bradley Douglas Hanson, Amanda Michelle Hanson and Shelley Hanson McElveen; his son-in-law Matthew Jared McElveen; his grandson Ezekiel; his grandfather Isaac; and his brother James T. Gavigan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, if you choose to do so, memorial gifts may be made to: The Shriners Hospitals for Children, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or New Hope Christian Church.
