He was predeceased by: his parent Orville Summie; and his siblings, Billy Summie, Bobby Summie, Jerald Summie, Joyce Summie and Sharon Summie.
He is survived by: his parent Pearlie Begley Summie; his wife Shelby Jean Dickison Summie of Jonesborough; his children, Roger N. Summit (Jacqueline) and Rhonda M. Summie (Jonathan McCrary); his granddaughters, Jessica Paige Summie, Chloe Hannah Summie and Lancelot; and his siblings, David Summie (Diane) and Teresa Dixon (Deril). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
