He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe McAlister and Hattie McAlister. He is survived by: his children, Terry (Jeremy), Grace (Bentley), Kathryn (Chris), David Jr., Jonathan (Shellye), Mary Hattie and Drew. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made generously and with an open heart to the charity of one's choice.
