He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie; and his parents, Alex Woodrow Cox and Hazel Crawford Cox. He is survived by: his son John Eric Cox; his stepchildren, Jack Collins (Moira Horton), Neal Collins and Pamala Collins (Steve Morrison); his grandchildren, Colin Morrison, Caitlin Morrison and Nathan Collins; his great grandchildren, Penelope and Isabel Heaton; his sisters, Dorothy Rutherford (Tommy), Lisa Thomas (Jimmy) and Judy Baird; his niece Emily Greer (John); and his nephews, Christopher and Jacob Thomas. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to one of his favorite charities: John 3:16 Ministries, House of Mews, or St. Jude.
