He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Bartow Hope and Maude Arnold Hope; his daughter Roberta Ann Hope; and his siblings, Melvin Hope, Pauline Watson, Maston Hope, Bartie Hope, Martha Brown and Oliver Hope.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Dorothy Witt; his children, John R. Hope, Jr. (Kay) and Emily Blackerby (Michael); and his sister Louise Brown. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
