He was predeceased by: his parents, Judge Stephen Pettus White II and Katharine Winton Richardson White. He is survived by: his wife Joy Darden White; his son W. Britton White (Jill); his grandchildren, Mary Adeline "Addy" White and Porter White; his son Mark White (Sue); his grandchild Baird White; his brother Stephen Pettus White III; his sibling's children, Anne White of Knoxville, Kay Gillespie (Niall) of Cambridge, England, Rusty Edwards (Melinda) of Asheville and Lori Anderson (Brian) of Fletcher; his cousin Betty P. Alsobrook (Al) of Gainesville; and also, John Alsobrook (Jennifer), Cannon Alsobrook (Lana), Tabitha Darden Sehorne (Tyler), Ellie, Emmie Sehorne and T. Riley Darden.
