He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Tankersley Sr. and Sue Moses; his stepparents, Bill Keely and Susan Tankersley; his brother Ricky Minton Tankersley; and his grandmother Mary Viola Moses.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Sewell Tankersley; his children, Justin Tankersley (Leah), Kristi Newell (Josh), Chris Wright (Charlotte), Andrea Davis (Johnny) and Ashley Wright; his siblings, Gale Tankersley Means (Tom), Daniel Tankersley, BJ Pitts, Anita Gordon and Theresa; and his brother-in-law Jim Cramer. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
