Louise Gill Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Louise Gill in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on August 17, 2020 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Louise Gill to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Doyne M. Gill; her parents, James Staggs and Emma Staggs; her siblings, James, Ernest, Sydney, Dolly Shettles and Francis McClure; and her nephew Clay Staggs.
She is survived by: her children, Montye Gill Anderson (Lyman) of Cordova, TN, Doyne Michael Gill of Chattanooga, TN, Martin Lee Gill of Memphis, TN and Rev. Maury Glynn Gill; her grandchildren, Marjo Gill Labonte Billy, Joseph, William, Andrew, Jeremy Gill, Kathryn Anderson Haver, Rev. Micah Gill, Michelle Gill Shipley, Abby Gill Depreist, Emmalee Anderson McCray (Lafe), Matthew Gill, Jesse Gill, Marcus Gill (Laura), Lyman Christopher Anderson and Jordan Gill; and her brother Herbert Staggs. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Services are as following: Graveside service for friends and family (please wear a mask and bring an umbrella for shade) Friday, August 21st, 1:00 pm Memphis Memory Gardens 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road. The family will receive friends and condolences from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm in the Courtyard at Bellevue Baptist Church 2000 Appling Road again please wear a mask.
The family ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the following: Bellevue Baptist Church Heal the Hood Foundation of Memphis (hecmemphis.org) Fellowship of Christian Athletes Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery has charge.
