She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Scott Flowers and Sarah Katherine Hughes. She is survived by: her aunt Clyda; her husband James S. Gilliland (Jim); her children, Katherine G. Connell (Coleman), Elizabeth J. Gilliland and James S. Gilliland, Jr. (Kathryn); her grandchildren, Gil Humphreys, Alex Humphreys, Kate Connell, Elizabeth Wood, Sabine Wood, Evan Gilliland, Walter Gilliland and Jordan Gilliland; and also Nancy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews as well as many lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to a Memphis non-profit of one's choice.
