We are sad to announce that on September 3, 2020, at the age of 98, Martha Spakes of Memphis, Tennessee, born in Rison, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James William McClain and Ollie Mae Beatty McClain of Rison; her husband Wayne Spakes; her daughter Betty Spakes of Memphis, TN.; and her siblings, Billie McClain, Doris Coker, Dod Smith, Bud McClain of Arkansas and Sonny McClain of Arkansas.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron Spakes (Pat) of Germantown, TN. and Steve Spakes of Germantown, TN.; and her sister Jo Fern Small (Bob) of Pine Bluff, AR. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Audubon Park Baptist Church, Memphis, TN, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
