She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Abernathy and Meda Lancaster (Huey); her husband John Thomas Cheshire; her siblings, Winfield Lancaster, Mae Dobbins, Edith Bartholomew and Richard Lancaster; and her grandson Ricky Cheshire.
She is survived by: her children, Eloise Cossey, John Cheshire, Rick Cheshire, Robert Cheshire and Joe Cheshire. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren along with many extended family and friends.
