He was predeceased by : his parents, Lester Alston and Doris Alston; and his siblings, Crawford, Bob, Ted and Faye.

He is survived by : his wife Doris; his children, Roger (Penny) and Renee (Kevin); and his grandsons, Taylor Harris, Neal Alston and Zeb Marvin.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Forest Hill Funeral Home - East (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Hill East Cemetery (2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133).
