She was predeceased by: her father James Owens. She is survived by: her mother Elizabeth Owens; her husband Anthony Hoover; her daughters, Megan Hoover and Emily Hoover (Cody Henderson); and her siblings, Elizabeth Owens, Virginia Scott (Bill Scott), James Owens Jr. and Theresa Butler.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Sara's name to the Glioblastoma Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
