He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillier Pepper and Walter Pepper; his wife Rose Pepper; his sister Jane McPherson; his nephew Andy McPherson; and his friend Barbara Wright.
He is survived by: his children, Walter McClung Pepper III, Lee-Ann Pepper Nolan (Andre) and Heather Pepper Echols (Jack); his grandchildren, Timothy Dills (Katie), Pepper Stanley (Nick), Keri Pepper, Savannah Dills, Stephen Horr and Awsten Arterburn; his great grandchildren, Parx Stanley, Haydn Burris, Mia Hurst and Trux Stanley; and also Jon Anderson. He is also survived by 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
