He is survived by: his significant other Rene Platten; his daughters, Laura Simons (Hayden), Julie Long (Reed) and Kathleen Caswell (Jason) of Gulfport, MS; and his siblings, Ann Platten McIntrye, Lou Platten (Carol Roth), Patty Maneke (Bill), Jeanne Bowe (Walter) and John Platten (Margie).
He was tenderly treated at Germantown Methodist Hospital in the ICU as a Covid patient.
