He was predeceased by : his parents, James Gilliam and Mattie Gilliam; and his son Jared Patrick Gilliam. He is survived by : his children, Anthony Goforth (Misty), Jordan Gilliam, Jenna York, Jacob Gilliam and Joey Gilliam; his stepdaughter Tonye Gilland; his grandchildren, Jacey Grey, Preston Winstead and JJ Goforth; his great grandchildren, Vincent Boyd and Kayden Barnett; and his siblings, Ella Q. Wolfe (Wade), Glenda Dalton (Clifford), Michael Gilliam, Jack Gilliam and James Gilliam Jr. (Alma). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
