He was predeceased by: his grandson Steven Taylor; and his siblings, Ruby Young, Ona Wilson, Lillian Wilson, Pauline Hall, Mary D Hendricks, B. F., Bernard and Harvey Freeze.
He is survived by: his children, Ashley Freeze, Jr. (Carolyn) of Morrison, TN, Donald Freeze (Cherry) of Morrison, TN, Melba Henley (Clifton) of Decherd, TN and Judy Taylor (Jerry) of Woodbury, TN; and his close friend Bea Barton. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
